Geothermal & Solar Energy Systems

Spring-Summer-Fall 2019

Upon installation contract approval 50% of the cost of feasibility study is REIMBURSED.

A feasibility study report for the geothermal heating/cooling system includes:

1. Location Potentials Analysis Overview: visit to construction site

2. Heat loss/gain calculation for the entire house / building structure

3. Heat loss/gain calculations for the individual spaces within the building structure

4. Improved insulation suggestions (NYS & BPI standards )

5. Conceptual geothermal system configuration design and sizing

6. Investment comparison, payback period analysis

7. Operating cost and energy cost comparison calculations

In order to perform calculations for the heat loss/gain we need information about the building’s conditioned spaces that include:

1.    Floor plans for all the conditioned levels
2.    Elevation plans with all window information (sizes, types, manufacturer, quantity, R or U values)
3.    Building orientation / exposure N-S

4.    Basement construction: walls (materials and insulation), windows, ceiling (materials and insulation), partitions
5.    1st Floor Construction: walls (materials and insulation), windows, ceiling (materials and insulation), partitions
6.    All additional floors information as specified in 5
7.    Roof structure type, materials, insulation values
8.    Occupancy type (number of people in the household or max occupancy for the public spaces)
9.    Internal gains (kitchen appliances, fireplaces)
10.  Air Tightness (Leaky, Average, Tight)

    FEES: Single family household: $1,000.00

Multiple family household above 2000 sq ft up to 6000 sq ft => $1 / sq ft
